At their simplest, photos are recorders of the visual world, but they can do so much more than present an image of who you were with, what you were wearing, or where you were. Photographs have unique roles in memory–keeping. As we move through our lives, I imagine we are little vessels in which we place our memories, hopes, and dreams. In some way, we're a box full of dreams and memories. Dreambox Photography's images are dreamy yet naturalistic. They evoke warmth, joy, love, growth, change, hopes, and dreams. Dreambox Photography works to show you that at their best, photos become more than mere memory–keepers. They become dream–catchers.
Who or what is Tea Ho? Tea Ho is a lot of things. She's small, spunky, and can have a morbid sense of humor. Tea always has a camera with her, documenting the things she loves most in life. That includes puppies, family, friends, and more puppies. Tea really loves animals, and you'll see a lot of them in her blog. Now she has a husband, and she takes lots of photos of him, too. When Tea isn't taking photos, she is probably taking a walk in lovely Berkeley, learning how to cook, crafting some new DIY project, going to the Mission in San Francisco for a good burrito, playing with puppies at the animal shelter, reading some dystopian novel, or going to antique stores in search of forgotten love letters. She appreciates good design and has a soft spot for the vintage-inspired. Tea is a bit whimsical, and she hopes to bring a bit of that whimsy into others' lives. That's actually why she started Dreambox Photography. She wanted to create images that really captured people's personalities — personalities as silly as hers. Or as loving. Or a bunch of other things, as long as they're a real reflection of the people she photographs. |
