I shot this wedding for Stephanie and Josh at the Pema Osel Ling Retreat Center in Corralitos, California. It is a beautifully kept retreat center in the Santa Cruz Mountains and perfect for an outdoor summer wedding. By the way, in case you didn’t know, despite being a wedding photographer based in the SF Bay Area, I shoot most Santa Cruz weddings, Napa, and Wine Country weddings without a travel fee. So, Santa Cruz it was! Anyway! Onward!
I love these super creative bridal bouquets. I also love that they’re resting on the stove. It makes the whole rustic wedding photography thing all the easier.
This house is actually on the Pema Osel Ling property. I love the high wood beams and wood paneling.
Stephanie’s wedding dress was simple, sweet, and had gorgeous lace details.
Stephanie and Josh had their wedding ceremony in the middle of towering redwoods for an intimate ceremony.
I love their small wedding party! It made the bridal party portraits more intimate and fun. For some reason, these benches made me think of an old timey schoolhouse so I sat them down accordingly for the pictures.
Individual portraits of the bridal party.
The ampitheatre of the redwoods had fabulous lighting. The wedding portraits were a blast to do since I got to play with the light. They couldn’t stop smiling!
I love this candid photograph of the bride and groom walking to their reception—it’s her smile, the movement, the light.
Aren’t these terrarium centerpieces fabulous! See how they transform from day to night. The best thing is that guests can take them home and keep taking care of them!
Stephanie and Josh do their first dance under strings of light during the outdoor reception.
The last picture is of these two babies playing with each other! They kept playing peekaboo. It was so adorable. I love babies. The end.
